Praia da Rocha will host the second stage of the 2026 National Footvolley Championship this weekend, featuring both men’s and women’s competitions.
The Portuguese National Footvolley Federation, with the support of the Portimão City Council, will organize the 2nd stage of the 2026 National Footvolley Championship on 15 and 16 August, at Praia da Rocha, next to the Sports Area, in Portimão.
This stage is particularly important in the season’s calendar, as it will be the last scoring event before the National Final, with a total of five scoring events throughout the season.
Men’s Competition
The men’s competition will feature 14 teams/pairs, divided into four groups and representing eight clubs:
- AFRA Madeira
- CD Póvoa
- CRD Santaluziense
- FC 11 Esperanças
- FC Ferreiras/Arena Ataboeira
- Núcleo Sporting CP Figueira da Foz
- PGCN/Quinta Arena
- Politécnico do Porto
The competition begins on Saturday, 15 August, with the Group Stage at 11:30, followed by the Round of 16 at 16:30.
On Sunday, 16 August, the competition continues with the Quarter-Finals at 10:00, the Semi-Finals at 14:15, and the Final at 17:00.
Women’s Competition
The women’s competition will take place on Sunday, 16 August, featuring six teams/pairs representing three clubs:
- FC 11 Esperanças
- FC Ferreiras/Arena Ataboeira
- PGCN/Quinta Arena
The programme starts at 10:30 with the Group Stage, followed by the Playoff at 12:15, the Semi-Finals at 13:00, and the Final at 16:20.
National champions and emerging talent
The Portimão stage will feature the two-time national champions, alongside some of the best-known pairs on the national circuit and a number of young teams that are beginning to make their mark in the sport.
With the National Final approaching, every point becomes increasingly important. The results in Portimão may therefore prove decisive in the championship standings and in determining the teams that will reach the final stage of the season.
A total prize fund of €1,560 will also be at stake.
