The 2026 National Footvolley Championship kicked off on June 13th and 14th with the first stage held at the Praia Internacional do Porto sand stadium. The event brought together athletes, clubs, institutional partners, and fans for a weekend of high-quality competition.
With the main support of the Municipality of Porto, the inaugural stage of the season confirmed the growth and consolidation of footvolley in Portugal, providing two days of intense competition and promoting the sport to the public. The event was also broadcast live worldwide via the FutevoleiTV YouTube channel, reinforcing the national and international reach of the National Championship.
Men's Competition
The men's competition featured 18 teams and 36 athletes, distributed into four groups and representing nine national clubs: CD Póvoa, CRD Santaluziense, FC 11 Esperanças, FC Ferreiras, Imortal DC, Núcleo SCP Figueira da Foz, PGCN – Quinta Arena, Politécnico do Porto, and T10 Sports Culture.
The first day of competition was dedicated to the group stage and the round of 16, while the second day hosted the quarterfinals, semifinals, third and fourth place matches, and the final.
After a run of consistent competition, Rodrigo Otero and Juan Silva, representing the Polytechnic of Porto, won the title of the first stage of the 2026 National Footvolley Championship.

Women's Competition
The women's competition brought together four teams and eight athletes, representing the clubs CRD Santaluziense, FC 11 Esperanças, PGCN – Quinta Arena and Polytechnic of Porto.
Held entirely on June 14th, the women's event provided high-level competitive matches, culminating in the victory of the duo formed by Luisa Siqueira and Louise Alves, from CRD Santaluziense.

A stage of excellence for national footvolley
The holding of the 1st Stage of the 2026 National Footvolley Championship represented another important moment in the affirmation of the sport in Portugal. The strong participation of the clubs, the technical quality demonstrated by the athletes, the involvement of the public present and the reach provided by the digital transmission contributed to the success of the competition.
The National Footvolley Federation thanks the Porto City Hall for its support in holding the event, as well as all the clubs, athletes, referees, volunteers, partners and spectators who contributed to the success of this first stage of the national circuit.
With the start of the season successfully completed, the 2026 National Footvolley Championship now moves on to the next stages, maintaining its commitment to promoting the development of the sport and providing excellent competition for national athletes.
