Kick off for another regional competition. The sand court of the Complexo Fluvial de Recreação e Lazer de Codessais, located in Vila Real, hosted this Sunday, June 25, the 1st stage of the Trás-Os-Montes de Alto Douro 2023 Regional Footvolley Championship.
There were 8 teams/pairs representing the clubs Futevólei Clube de Vila Real, the hosts of the inaugural stage, Vila Flor Sport Clube BS, Grupo Desportivo de Bragança and Grupo Desportivo Mirandês, an initiative that results from a joint organization of the aforementioned clubs, and which deserved the support of the National Footvolley Federation from the first moment.
Throughout the day, the athletes from the aforementioned locations/regions, evolved in a perfect environment of conviviality and competition, in a total of 20 games to determine the big winners of the inaugural stage of the regional, with the team of GD Bragança composed by Willian / Pessanha to get the better of the FC Vila Real team made up of Nuno/Armando.
The regional championship continues next Sunday, July 16th, with the city of Bragança hosting the 2nd stage of the competition.
