Fábio Murraças and Leandro become regional champions

After 5 highly disputed stages with Faro, Santa Luzia (Tavira), Quarteira (Loulé) and Albufeira receiving the main athletes and teams from the Algarve region, in a joint organization of the various clubs in the region affiliated to the FNFV, namely FC "Os 11 Esperanças" , CRD Santaluziense, FC Ferreiras/Arena Ataboeira, Quarteira Beach Sports and Imortal DC/Bellavista, the most decisive moment of the competition took place this Saturday, May 6th, with the sports court of CRD Santaluziense, in Santa Luzia, municipality of Tavira, to relive the best moments of the modality, in a day full of competition, lots of animation and good mood.

As a result of the 22 games played, in a double elimination system, the most awaited and decisive moment of the competition put David Peres/Djalmir Andrade, representing FC 11 Esperanças, and Fábio Murraças/Leandro, representing FC Ferreiras/Arena Ataboeira, face to face , in a very disputed and emotional game, the victory ended up smiling to the team of Ferreiras (Albufeira), in two unanswered sets, immediately becoming the regional champions of the Algarve, in 2023, and confirming the good results achieved in the 5 stages of the regional.

In the 3rd/4th place match, Frank Tavares/Raul Curvelo (FC 11 Esperanças) won over António Custodinho/André Rachadinho (FC 11 Esperanças).

This excellent initiative, in its 2nd edition, deserved the support from the first hour of the National Footvolley Federation, which allows all participating athletes not only an opportunity to keep in shape, but also to start their pre-season before the start of National Championship, but also meets the principle of extending competitions throughout the year, a situation that has long been desired by all clubs and by the Federation itself.
