The growth of the number of Footvolley practitioners create a new challenge: finding appropriate competition space for under-18 and women athletes who have recently started playing Footvolley and require a competitive enviroment adapted to their features na dgame ability.
It was in this context that emerged the Women Footvolley National Championship, that will have its kickoff this sunday, June 19th, in Campo de Areia do Parque de Jogos, at Vila do Conde.
It will be 7 teams, 16 players representing 5 clubs, Clube Areia de Matosinhos, Clube Desportivo da Póvoa, Centro de Treino Alan Cavalcanti, Footvolley Club Carcavelos and Imortal Desportivo Clube, teams from north to south of Portugal, which demonstrates that portuguese women footvolley starts to gain more space and atention in sports national panorama.
The event will start at 10h30am, with the Group Phase, on a total of 12 games tha will be played until around 1h30pm, to determe the first placed teams of each group directly to semin final, while the second placed teams of each group will advance to the quarter finals. Before that, there will be a Play-off Phase who will put head to head third and fouth placed teams of each group, where the winners will guarantee the passport to quarter finals. Next will be quarter final, semi finals, 3rd/4th placed match and the most decisive moment of this 1st stage will happen around 4h30pm.
