European Footvolley League 2019 - Albufeira, Portugal - Portugal 1 represented by Filipe Santos and Miguel Pinheiro win 3rd European stage

Portugal 1 through Filipe Santos and Miguel Pinheiro in the men's competition and Norway through Henriette Ingvaldsen and Pernille Ingvaldsen Smith in the women's competition were the big winners of the 3rd stage of the European Footvolley League 2019, which took place in Praia of Pesacadores, in Albufeira (Portugal) from 12 to 14 July.

The final qualifying round included 16 men teams representing 13 countries, including Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, France, the Netherlands, England, Israel, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Sweden and Switzerland.

In the women's competition, 6 teams, 6 countries, namely Austria, Germany, Italy, Norway, Portugal and Switzerland that evolved during the 2 days of the test, with the teams showing an increasing technical level.

In the game of all decisions of the women's competition, the Norwegian athletes had to sweat enough to beat the Italians and to add another victory to join the first two stages, it was necessary a 3rd set to find the great winners of the stage of Portugal, with the scoreboard to close with the partial of 13x18 18x12 and 15x17.

In the game that closed the afternoon and the competition, in this case the male, Portugal 1 already habituated to this great stage and counting on strong support from the attendance, was in great level, with a greater balance in their actions and greater efficiency did not miss the opportunity to close the first set in the front with the scoreboard to close in the 18x13. In an organization of the European Footvolley League with the National Footvolley Federation - Portugal, the event counted as main supporting entities, the Municipality of Albufeira, AlgarExperience, YellowFish Transfers, Sports Partner, Claw, as well as other local partners.

The most decisive moment of the European Footvolley League tour 2019 is scheduled for next August in Lucerne, Switzerland.

In an afternoon of many decisions, in both men's and women's competitions, with lots of spectacle and a lot of excitement at Praia dos Pescadores in Albufeira, the teams / countries that have made it to the Semi-Finals are already known.

On the day of all decisions this Sunday, July 14, starting at 1:00 p.m., the Women's Semi-Finals will take place, Norway, Italy, Germany and Austria fight for a spot in the final, which will take place around 4:20 p.m.

In the men's competition, Austria 1 vs Portugal 1 and Germany vs Italy will measure their strength from 2:40 p.m. in search of a place in the Final that is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.

As a result of the 4 matches of the Round of 16, France, Portugal 1, Germany and the Netherlands secured the quarter-final qualification, joining Austria 1, Israel, Spain and Italy, which provided direct access in the groups phase.

In the women's competition Norway and Italy have secured the direct qualification for the Semi-Finals. Portugal, Sweden, Italy and Austria will discuss the remaining 2 seats open from 3:00 p.m. in the quarterfinals.


Albufeira and its magnificent Fisherman's Beach welcome the 3rd stage of the European Footvolley Tour.

In this first day of the competition, the 16 teams, 13 countries in the men's competition, were in action from 10:00 a.m. until very close to 7:00 p.m., in a total of 24 games, many of them quite disputed and with much spectacle and emotion.

As a result of the matches played the teams representing Austria 1, Spain, Israel and Italy have already secured a place in the quarterfinals.

The national teams Portugal 1 (Filipe Santos / Miguel Pinheiro), Portugal 2 (Ruben Santos / Pedro Salvador) and Portugal 3 (Bruno Xavier / Alexandre Oliveira) according to results obtained will discuss a place among the best in the Round of 16.
