The II Ambassadors Meeting “Futevólei Portugal” was organized in the 6th of January in the city of Cascais, with the purpose of promoting the national cooperation and definition of new growth strategies for the sport.
Representatives from eight Portuguese cities debated a range of issues over a long day, including defining new strategies to rise the number of players, increase the number of tournaments, extending the competitive period of the national championship and encouraging the practice of the sport in informal settings.
Athletes, clubs, delegates, referees and supporters can congratulate themselves for the successes achieved in the last decade in Portugal. However, the sustained growth is associated with the need to raise the number of players and fans that practice the sport as a recreational and health improvement sport. This will be the foundation to motivate new players.
Union, communication and cooperation continues to be the motto for the future.
